Welcome to our Family Page! My name is Karolyn and I am a single mom. My son's name is Jordan. Jordan's dad, Ray, and I are divorced but luckily he is a big part of Jordan's life. I was recently working fulltime, looking for my next temp job, and back to college this quarter for 6 credits. In the recent past I have worked as a Data Entry Rep for two different companies and ran a home business, an online collectibles website. Aside from our time spent trying to keep our bills paid on time, this page will tell you all about what we like to do to have fun.

Education - I think education is so important - there are so many things I'd love to learn, if only I had the time and money. I completed a computer course at BCTI a few years ago, and came very close to finishing a home-study Legal Transcription course. I've completed 4 quarters at Olympic College , working towards earning my AAS Degree; my ultimate goal being a Masters Degree and a career in Natural Science or possibly Writing - not sure which field yet.
Jordan is in tenth grade, 16, and in High School! I'm so proud of him! And not just because he gets good grades for the most part, but because he puts a lot of effort into his assignments and likes to help other students also. He is very advanced in math and reading; we have a lot of great writing and algebra discussions. A couple years ago he especially liked Geography and last year he liked his math class and his tech class. He usually aces PE and really loves to run, stay active and stay fit. I was intellectually smart in school, but I did not have the social or athletic skills that Jordan thankfully has. I'm just so proud of him - I love to watch him learn and grow, and can't wait to see who he's going to turn into!

Chores - I'm really not a strict mom, mainly a protective one. But Jordan does have a few chores that we've agreed upon: Cleaning his room at least twice a month, taking out the garbage, feeding the pets, washing the dishes when I need him to and helping me mow the lawn. I'm always trying to find new ways for him to learn responsibility, such as helping me with grocery shopping, and other things. It does take some effort on my part, because I did not grow up very disciplined myself, so it is a learning process for both of us.
Our pets are also part of our family - Well, our kitty named Shadow is no longer with us. Our dog, Jasmine is getting pretty old, too, but still doing well.
