Silence
Alicia Hansen
you pause...
two eyes,
Vegas saphires,
sprinkled with golden dust and
emerald slivers,
steady themselves.
Loose honey-chocolate strands
grace
pale-skinned cheeks,
recently cooled by the
touch of wind.
naturally darkened lips
part slightly and
subtle life breath
brushes dampened pair.
one moment...
transformation,
eyes crinkle, a single
smile overcomes in
entirity.
I pause...

your turn.
